Synthesis and structural studies of mono- and oligosaccharide derivatives and glycoconjugates (especially amino- and iminosugars and sugar amino acids - potential glycosidase inhibitors), five- and six-membered heterocyclic compounds (especially pyrazoles, imidazoles, oxazolidines, 1,3-dioxolanes, thiazoles, pyrimidines) and hyaluronan derivatives.
